Description

Very beautiful vintage 1940's "Furga" painted hard plastic doll. Made in Italy. Marked on the back of her neck.  She stands 14 inches high. She is a "mama" doll, but her voice box no longer works. She has a shiny mohair glued-on wig, in its original factory style of long banana curls.  She has brown sleep eyes, with long curled lashes and beautiful face paint. Moveable head, arms and legs. She is wearing her original taffeta outfit, that consists of a bonnet, that has flower decorations on top, a wide ribbon and ruffles on the inside brim. A fitted jacket, with sheer white puffed sleeves at the bottom, that are trimmed with double ruffles. It has a peplum and two covered buttons in the front. Her gown has a sleeveless bodice that has a row of ruffles down the front, a fitted waist and very full floral patterned skirt. It is trimmed with ruffles and has a scalloped aqua detail at the bottom of the skirt. It has an attached, wired petticoat and snaps in the back. She has a separate wired petticoat that ties in the back and taffeta pantaloons that have rows of ruffles on the bottom.  Replaced vintage, black vinyl shoes that buckle in the front.  She is in very good condition, the issues are: a paint chip on one thumb, (the thumb is  not chipped, just the paint on it) The dress is discolored in various places. The wires in the petticoats have been stitched in some places, The separate petticoat has some discoloration. There is a 1/4 crease in the back of the hat, not really a split, but the fabric has slightly separated there.  There are some small splits in the ruffles at the bottom of the skirt.  Please examine photos carefully.
