Vintage Vanity/Dresser Jewelry Holder/Tray/Organizer with Mirror
Moire Taffeta Fabric
This appears to be a fairly unique estate find, as searches have not shown similar items.  The pale  peach-colored moire taffeta fabric that covers all sides of the tray or box is achieved through a process of engraved rollers and steam, resulting in a watermarked or grosgrain-like appearance.
The sides of the box are pleated taffeta fabric. The tray probably dates to the 1940s, and may have been used to hold jewelry and other trinkets on a vanity.
The top is in good condition, with minor spots that may be cleaned with a little care, and the mirror is in great condition. There are some flaws on the bottom, as shown in photos, however they do not affect the use of the tray. Measures 12-3/4" x 10-1/2" x 1-1/2"
