    VINTAGE MANDOLINE DEPOSE FOLDING BUTTON SHOE LACE HOOK
    Found this in a basement in Colorado.  Took me a long time to identify this.  Its a button hook used for shoe laces and sometimes shirt buttons.  Reads MANDOLINE on one side and DEPOSE on the other.  I found little information about it and some of it was conflicting so I can't honestly say much about it.  I think it may have been made in the early 1900's, maybe French made, but again all that came from the internet and I don't know how reliable it is.  Neat little piece that folds in half.  Can't tell you much else about it as it came from a family estate that had four generations of stuff packed away and there is no one left to tell me where it came from or anything about it.

Most of the time I am very careful although I do try to use whatever boxes I can find instead of buying them to keep from charging a handling fee.
