TOM C. CLARK Supreme Court Justice & 59th U.S. Attny. General Signed Card + COA

Description

Very scarce signature of U.S. Supreme Court Justice & the 59TH U.S. Attorney General, Tom C. Clark.  He served under President Harry S. Truman.  Clark's signature appears on the reverse side of his Official, embossed Supreme Court card, dated 2/9/71.  He was 72 years old at the time of this signing.  He died six years later on June 13th, 1977.  The Card message reads: "Dear Miss Kitts: I regret the delay in returning these 1st Day covers.  I signed and sealed them but left the (continues on reverse) envelope in my pocket!  Fortunately, I happened upon it this A.M.  Very best wishes to you Tom C. Clark (signature).  All written in blue penned ink.  Card measures 4.5" Wide X 3 & 7/8th's" High.  You will receive the signed card, and the Certificate of Authenticity shown, plus the free recently downloaded one page biography courtesy of Wikipedia.  Autograph Provenance: This item comes from the Curtis Iddings, Jr.  Autograph Collection Estate.  He (Mr. Iddings's) collected autographs most of his life, starting somewhere in the early 1940's until his death in 1988.  In 1989, C.I. Fine Autographs purchased his entire collection at auction.  Nearly all of my autographed items I sell originate from this same collection.  Comes with the Certificate of Authenticity, as shown.
