1p, measuring 6" x 9", Washington, D.C., dated May 15, 1967. Typed on Kennedy's personal United States Senate letterhead and addressed to Philip Sang of Chicago, concerning the Sigma Alpha Mu awards. The letter reads in full: "I have learned from Mr. Schwartz that the Sigma Alpha Mu Undergraduate Achievement Awards for this year were presented in my honor, and I want you to know how much I appreciate this tribute. You are most kind and I am grateful." Signed boldly in black ink "Robert Kennedy." Mail folds to letter, else very fine. Ex-Sang Collection.
