Murashige & Skoog Medium
is sold as "MS w/ Vit. and Sucrose". When buying
"MS w/ Vit. and Sucrose -
1L" you will receive 34.43g of nutrient powder mixture that should be diluted in 1L of water.
Contains the macro- and micronutrients and vitamins as described by
Murashige and Skoog (1962).
Modified to include 30 g/L sucrose.

Steps for preparing media:
Dissolve media in water. Add agar if needed.
Adjust pH.
Heat the solution near its boiling point.
Pour into flasks or any other heat resistant container.
Sterilize by autoclaving.
A typical cultivation flask will take 25ml to 50ml of media, producing 20 to 40 flasks / L
.
