MIKE GRAVEL AUTOGRAPH SIGNED 1971 ON FIRST DAY COVER ALASKA SENATOR POLITICS

Description

Philatelist Robert Leskiewicz of Euclid(Cleveland), Ohio combined his love for first day and event covers with his desire for political autographs and here is an item from his collection!  He would select covers from his collection that perhaps fit in some way to the person whose signature he desired, then mail the cover in and hopefully by return mail get his autograph.  Offered here is a 1971 MAURICE ROBERT "MIKE" GRAVEL(Alaska senator from 1969-1981) autograph on a fitting 1967 Alaska first day cover.  Also note mailing envelope, with July 15, 1971 postmark, which dates the autograph.    Very colorful and unusual items that would surely add zest to a collection!
