Josip Broz, commonly known as Tito (1892-1980) - Yugoslav communist revolutionary and statesman, serving in various roles from 1943 until his death in 1980. During World War II, he was the leader of the Partisans, often regarded as the most effective resistance movement in occupied Europe.
He also served as the president of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia from 14 January 1953
until his death on 4 May 1980.
5“ x 3.1“ book printed illustration of Tito, tipped to a larger page, 5.8” x 4.2”, signed in the lower right corner in fountain pen. Paperclip impression at the top left corner edge, with scattered light creases, otherwise very good.
This is from an extensive 50 year collection covering all categories, that was built from the 1940’s through the 1980’s.
