Huret Bicycle Speedometer Vintage Brand New Never Used Still in Original Box

Huret Bicycle Speedometer from France new still in the box. The box cellophane is a little crumpled on top from long term storage and the speedometer shows 1.1 miles, don't know if that's normal or not. I also do not know whether it actually functions or not but I can see no reason why it should not.. The drive looks to be a small wheel that rubs directly on the tyre. There are no markings on the bottom of the box but the side shows that it's "Universal". I think it has a small drive cable in the box ( according to the side label ) that's 0.m254 long whatever that works out to be. See the pictures. It's been kept inside in a dry storage area so no corrosion and it's a smoke free environment. The original cost was almost .00.
