    Description

Benjamin Disraeli signed handwritten three-page letter. Signed “B. Disraeli”, dated Dec. 1. A letter of recommendation for Henry Kitchen. “As he is one of my constituents, and you were my schoolfellow, I would not refuse him this note…”
This letter was published in “Benjamin Disraeli Letters, 1860-64,” which notes the only schoolfellow of D’s to have held public office is Thomas Milner Gibson, President of the Board of Trade, 1859/60, which also dates the letter. Very Good, with two mailing folds. 4.5" x 7" folio.
