For sale is a typed letter signed by former politician Donald Rumsfeld. It is typed on White House stationary and written to David R. Maragni, a political supporter in Columbus, Georgia. It is matted and framed and ready to hang. Rumsfeld wrote and signed the letter on November 11, 1975, when he was “assistant” to President Gerald Ford. Six dates later, he was confirmed as Secretary of Defense. At 43, Rumsfeld became the youngest to serve in that position. The letter measures 5 3/4 by 8 3/4 inches; the wood frame is 10 1/2 by 13 5/8. See my other items.
