Alfred Meakin Chelsea Tea Leaf Ironstone Brush Vase, 5" Tall, England,Farmhouse
Description
Welcome to this listing. We are pleased to offer this wonderful circa 1880s tea leaf ironstone brush vase in the Chelsea body style by the English firm of Alfred Meakin. This brush vase is 6" tall and 2 3/4" in diameter at the lip. The black Royal Arms mark states "Royal Ironstone China, Alfred Meakin, England."
This lovely brush vase has a glossy white glaze and bright and shiny copper lustre tea leaves and decoration. It is free of chips, flakes, discoloration, and restoration. Crazing, which is common to ironstone, is present. There is a short, faint 1/2" hairline at the rim and a 2" penetrating hairline on the interior which is not visible from the exterior. There are non-penetrating glaze spiders on the underside of this brush vase. Please use the photos to assist you in determining if the condition of this brush vase meets with your requirements.
