THESE BUCKLES WERE MADE FOR THE JOHN DEERE MINNEAPOLIS BRANCH & PORTLAND PARTS DEPOT ONLY.
EMPLOYEES & SUPERVISORS WHO COMPLETED ONE FULL YEAR WITHOUT A LOST TIME INJURY RECEIVED A BUCKLE.
A total of 5 buckles were produced.  Each had a different year 1989-1993 and a different safety slogan.
Front of buckle has the John Deere Model "D" Tractor & is marked "Moving Iron Safely 1990".

NOTE:
The manufacture - Anacortes Brass Works Ltd. was a privately owned company.  It was closed on April 1, 2016.  All custom designs casting patterns were then destroyed to protect the unauthorized reproduction of their buckles.  This ensures that these buckles were limited to the only manufacture, Anacortes Brass Works.  This also ensures their collectability.  Any new manufacturer will have to make new patterns according to their casting procedures.
