This item is a unique 1960s OPERATION BETTER BLOCK Guide to Block Organization from the administration of Mayor John V. Lindsay.        It is, of course, quite rare -- only a limited number were made at the time and there are undoubtedly few left, perhaps almost none other than mine.     Condition is basically mint.    Size is 8 and a half inches by 11 inches.    It is 7 pages of typed and copied text.   My picture shows the front cover.     This was issued by the Mayor's Urban Action Task Force and is in many respects emblematic of the innovations of the Lindsay administration in its best successes.    It is also a great example of the community organizing initiatives of the 1960s.     All in all, a very nice piece and great rarity for the collector.    A piece of New York social and political history which is unique.
