Sorry for the lousy photos but the reflectivity of the coin and the 2-by-2 holder I put it in made it really difficult to focus properly but rest assured this is a very, very nice uncirculated example of the 1928 Indian Head quarter eagle (.50) gold coin. There are no dings or distracting marks on the devices and the fields are almost blemish free except for one exceedingly small bag mark between the stars left and below the chief's chin. I can detect no wear under 20x magnification because all the feathers in the headdress on the obverse are sharp and well defined as are the breast and tail feathers of the eagle on the reverse.Again, I wish the photos were better to display the true quality of this coin, which I would confidently put in the low to mid 60s of uncirculated, which makes the coin easily worth upwards of 0.
I have been collecting coins for 60 years and crocks, antique and vintage fishing equipment and other smalls for more than 40 years...and yes, I am an old turkey. I also have been on eBay for nearly a quarter century, really, check my feedback. Also if you have a question, please do not hesitate to ask because as a long-retired newspaper editor I know that the only dumb question is the one not asked.
