    1902-03 ARGENTINA Original letters from William J Martin in Rosario de Santa, to Frank .J. Marten, solicitor in Edinburgh, trying to establish ALUMINIUM MINING investments in Argentine Aluminium and approaches to the involve The British Aluminium Co., 1902 Letter 3 pages long with copies and note 1903 March letter 4 pages long with copies and April 1903 letter manuscript 2 pages long whereby this one mentions that The British Aluminium Company declined to extend its operations so far afield and also that the manufacture of aluminium in the United Kingdom is in the hands of a RING! which would be difficult to break. The Typed letters go into the Smelting process and reduction and mining techniques to be employed, water power etc. and concessions taken out at Calingasta, also mentions prospects of no war between Chile and Argentina being removed by King Edward's award in the boundary matter.
    Other interesting comments he makes is reference to "Mr Duncan Smith of the Arizona Copper Company and to remind him of the time the writer travelled with him in the United States and left the train at Lordsburgh to go to the copper mines and was in some danger of losing his scalp to the Apache Indians".
