This listing is for an 1851 Liberty Head .5 Gold Quarter Eagle NGC MS62 FS-301 Repunched Date. This is a nice yellow gold coin with outstanding original surfaces. Extremely rare variety that is difficult to locate in any grade. At the time of listing the NGC population report lists just 1 finer example. PCGS has only graded 1 uncirculated example and that one is also a '62 making just 3 known uncirculated examples of this prized variety (as well as only 3 total circulated examples at both services).
