    Description

I have for sale a really cool grouping of early to mid 19th century letters.
The first letter in the grouping, is to the Governor of Maryland, Thomas G. Pratt. It can be a little difficult to read, but it appears to be from the commander of the 1st Regiment, of the 1st Regimental Calvary, of Maryland. It is dated April 13, 1847. It appears to be dealing with informing the governor of the death of Brigadier General Thomas Contee Worthington. I can't make out the author's name, but I believe it a Colonel, who is the current commander of the calvary. Worthington died on the 12th, so this letter would have been written the day after. If you look at the (9th) photo above you can see a faint governmental seal on the letter.
The other two pieces I am sending along, as they were in a plastic sleeve together. The second is a legal draft dealing with leasing land in 1818. The lawyer is James Wilson Esq. & Sam & Sloan. The third is a copy letter from 1836 that I believe deals with the Harper's Ferry Armory. I have provided over (80) photos below to give you a thorough view of the letters, with the first really being a cool piece.
